Tuition is based on the number of classes your dancer is enrolled in and covers the full dance season. We spread your annual costs into 10 monthly installments from September through June. This does not vary or pro-rate regardless of absences, holidays, etc. Dance Expressions follows Tewksbury Public Schools for closures with some exceptions.
Tuition is due on the 1st of each month. Payments made after the 7th will incur a $15 late fee. Returned checks are subject to a $35 fee.
We also offer a semester payment option for families who prefer to pay in two installments and save 10%. Semester payments are due September 1st and February 1st. To choose this option, you must email us before September 1st so we can adjust your account. If payment is not made by the 7th, your account will automatically switch back to monthly payments and the discount will be removed. Please note: The 10% semester discount does not apply to dancers on the Unlimited Class Plan. Only one discount may be used, and the Unlimited Plan already includes a reduced rate. If you’re on the Unlimited Plan, you are not eligible for an additional semester discount.
A $15 registration fee is due at the time of enrollment to secure your spot in class.
If you need to drop a class, please notify us in writing by emailing danceexpressions.us@gmail.com. Please note that all tuition, registration fees, and payments for classes, camps, and events are non-refundable.
To keep up with rising costs and continue offering the best experience for our dancers, we’ll be making a small tuition adjustment for the 2025–2026 season. We’ve done our best to keep the increase minimal and fair for all families.
Below is an example of what monthly tuition looks like with costume fees already included. Tuition is split into 10 equal payments from September through June for your convenience. This chart is meant to give you a clear idea of what to expect based on the number and type of classes your dancer is enrolled in.
Unlimited Class Plan:
If your dancer takes 4 or more classes (recreational and/or competition mix), base tuition is capped at $222/month, plus costume fees based on the number and type of classes.
Family Multi-Student Discount:
To make things easier, families can enroll in auto-pay through the Parent Portal. This takes the stress out of remembering monthly tuition payments and helps avoid late fees.
Auto-pay runs on the first Friday of each month and will cover monthly tuition only. Any additional charges must be paid separately online or by bringing in cash or a check to the studio.
Processing fees apply to all auto-pay transactions:
Be sure to check your account regularly so you’re aware of any additional charges that may be posted.
We take great care in selecting the perfect costume for each class. Every student will receive one costume for each class they’re enrolled in. Creative Kids dancers will receive two costumes, as they perform two different recital dances.
Costume Costs
This year, we’ve simplified pricing by moving to an all-inclusive costume fee, built right into your monthly tuition:
Costume prices include all accessories like headpieces or gloves, but do not include tights or shoes.
Measuring & Fitting
We begin measuring students during class in October and November to ensure proper sizing. While we aim to order the best fit, minor alterations may be needed once costumes arrive. Any alterations are the responsibility of the parent/guardian, though we do work with a local seamstress if you’d like assistance.
Distribution & Deadlines
Costumes will only be handed out if your account is paid in full, including all tuition and fees. Dance Expressions is not responsible for late costume arrivals due to missed or delayed payments.
Once you receive your costume:
Withdrawals
If a dancer withdraws from class after costumes have been ordered, no refunds will be given. If the family chooses to keep the costume, they must first pay the remaining costume balance, which is $7 per month for recreational classes or $10.50 per month for competition classes, for each month left in the season.
Once the balance is paid, the costume can be picked up during our general costume distribution period or up to 15 days after the recital.
Tights
To keep a clean, uniform look on stage, dancers must wear the required style and color of tights for their class. Tights can be ordered through your Parent Portal or purchased at a local dancewear store. Please plan to buy new tights for the recital to ensure they look fresh and match the group.
Shoes
Please label all dance shoes with your child’s name. Many pairs go missing throughout the year! Shoe requirements for each class will be provided as we approach recital season.
